Jason Tan heads SCOR Global Life’s Underwriting and Claims team in Asia Pacific. Jason has more than 20 years of underwriting experience in both direct and reinsurance businesses. He joined SCOR in 2010 after completion of his MBA. Prior to that, Jason worked with Swiss Re as Regional Underwriter.
Jason leads a team of expert medical underwriters and doctors to provide clients with excellent solutions. Jason is passionate about developing innovative solutions to better serve customers and societies. He worked closely with SCOR’s Critical Illness Research & Development Center to develop Biological Age Model (BAM) for dynamic underwriting.
In his current capacity, Jason and his team developed training programs as key offers to clients in addition to promoting and nurturing talents by collaborating with Singapore College of Insurance on its flagship Life & Medical Insurance Training Programme.
Jason graduated from Nanyang Business School with a Master degree in Business Administration and holds a Fellowship with Academy of Life Underwriting, Chartered Life Underwriter and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
Jason’s interests are in running, cycling and triathlon. Recently completed his 70.3 Ironman in Taiwan.
