The relative importance of genetics for predicting mortality and morbidity risks
Dr Richard Russell is Lead Health Data Scientist in the Global Research and Data Analytics department within RGA. Richard is a highly experienced Data Scientist, providing specialist resource to enhance RGA’s mortality and morbidity modelling capability. In particular, Richard provides original and novel insights – gained from the application of advanced analytics to very large datasets – to RGA’s underwriting manual research, actuarial pricing and innovation projects globally. Prior to joining RGA in 2013, Richard was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in Statistics for four years at City, University of London. Richard is a graduate of Imperial College London, having completed a BSc in Biotechnology, an MSc in Bioinformatics and a PhD in Statistics.
